The Red Ribbon Club of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), in association with TNSACS and NGOs from Tirupattur conducted a Flash Mob on the occasion of World AIDS Day on 01 December, 2025 between 3:15 PM and 4:15 p.m in front of the Silver Jubilee Block. The programme aimed to create awareness on HIV/AIDS among students. About 150 RRC volunteers actively participated in the event, during which students formed a human chain and a red ribbon shape symbolizing solidarity and support for those affected by HIV/AIDS. Around 750 students witnessed the programme, contributing to a strong atmosphere of awareness and collective responsibility. Ms. G. Keerthiga, Cluster Programme Manager, District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit, Vellore, and Mr. G. Sankar, ART Counsellor, Government Hospital, Tirupattur, graced the event as Guests of Honour and emphasized the importance of preventive awareness and community engagement. The programme was held in the esteemed presence of Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand, SDB, Additional Principal, and Rev. Dr. Samson Shanmugam, SDB, Vice Principal (Administration) – Shift II, along with the Presidents and Vice Presidents of the respective shifts: Mr. V. Madhan Kumar, Dr. A. Mekala, Mr. V. S.Jayakumar Paul Bosco and Dr. J. Jayachitra. The coordinated performances and active student participation effectively conveyed the significance of World AIDS Day, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to health education and social responsibility.
