The Department of Biochemistry, UG Association, organized a Tamil Debate on the theme “Merits and Demerits of Artificial Intelligence” in Mahatma Gandhi Hall on 04/12/2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The program aimed to enhance critical thinking, communication skills, and awareness of emerging technologies among undergraduate students. The Chief Guest was introduced by Dr. S. Govindarajan, Association President. The Jury for the session was Dr. M. Karunanidhi, Department of Tamil. Felicitation was given by Dr. I. Niyas Ahamed, Head, Department of Biochemistry. A vibrant Tamil debate was conducted on the topic “Artificial Intelligence”, allowing students to present arguments on whether AI is a boon or bane in today’s society. The coordinated efforts of the faculty and students ensured the smooth execution of the program. The session was insightful, engaging, and well appreciated by both participants and the audience.
