The Department of Commerce (Computer Applications) – Shift II of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, organized a Career Guidance Program on Competitive Exams on 6th December 2025 at Thanthai Periyar Hall. The program was conducted as a part of the department’s continuous efforts to guide students toward various competitive examinations and equip them with the necessary insights for career advancement.

The session began at 10:45 AM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the department. The resource person for the program was Mr. A. Prabakaran, Founder of Shakya IAS Academy, Tirupattur, who is well-known for his expertise in civil services coaching and career counselling.

Mr. Prabakaran delivered an informative and inspiring talk, focusing on the wide range of competitive exams available for students after graduation. He elaborated on the structure of national and state-level examinations, including UPSC, TNPSC, SSC, banking exams, and other central government recruitment processes. He emphasized the importance of consistent preparation, smart study strategies, and staying updated with current affairs. His real-life examples and motivational insights encouraged students to set clear goals and work toward them with determination.

The event was meticulously organized under the guidance of Dr. P. Saravanan, Convenor, and the Organizing Committee Members: Dr. D. Valarmathi and Rev. Dr. M. Anthonysamay. Mr. S. M. Cyril Christopher, Organizing Secretary, coordinated the program effectively, ensuring smooth execution.

The session concluded at 12:30 PM, followed by an interaction segment where students raised queries regarding exam patterns, preparation timelines, and study resources. The program proved highly beneficial, offering clarity and direction to aspiring candidates and motivating them to explore promising career opportunities in the competitive examination domain.
