The Department of Physical Education organized the Inter-Department Tournament for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Shift I and Shift II from 25th to 29th November, 2025. The tournament commenced on 25 November 2025 and was conducted successfully across both shifts with active participation from various departments, reflecting the institution’s commitment to promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, and holistic student development.

The tournament was conducted in multiple disciplines for both UG and PG students. The events included Volleyball, Basketball, and Football for men, and Badminton, Throwball, and Tennikoit for women. Nearly twenty tournaments were organized in various categories during the five-day event. Students participated enthusiastically, demonstrating high levels of skill, teamwork, discipline, and competitive spirit throughout the competition.

A total of 2803 students participated in the tournament across both Shifts, comprising UG and PG students from different departments. The smooth conduct of the matches was ensured through proper scheduling, officiating, and coordination by the Department of Physical Education, with the support of faculty members and student volunteers.

In Shift I, the notable winners included B.A. Economics in UG Men’s Volleyball, B.Com in UG Women’s Tennikoit, B.Com in UG Men’s Basketball, Data Science in UG Women’s Badminton, B.Sc. Counseling Psychology in UG Women’s Throwball, and B.Sc. Computer Science in UG Men’s Football. At the PG level, MSW emerged as the overall strong performer by winning Basketball and Volleyball (Men) as well as Badminton and Throwball (Women).

In Shift II, B.Com and BCA Separtments showed remarkable performance at the UG level, securing several titles in Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Badminton, Throwball, and Tennikoit. At the PG level, M.Sc. Chemistry dominated the men’s events by winning Basketball and Volleyball, while M.Sc. Chemistry and M.Sc. Physics secured titles in women’s Badminton and Throwball respectively. The Inter-Department Tournament concluded successfully on 29 November 2025.
