Department of Extension Education and Services of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, organized the Evening Study Centres’ Christmas Celebrations on 21st December 2025 at Thanthai Periyar Hall in a joyful and festive atmosphere. The programme began at 10.00 a.m. with a solemn prayer song by Denison & Co, invoking divine blessings. This was followed by the welcome address by Rev. Dr. Shanmugam SDB, Director (DEEDS), DB Centre, who spoke on the significance of Christmas as a season of love, sharing, and service. After the welcome speech, a melodious Carol song by Denison & Co filled the hall with the spirit of Christmas. The celebration continued with colourful and energetic dance performances by students from Lakshmi Nagar, Kalaignar Nagar, Anna Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Bosco Nagar, and Idhaya Nagar, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm.

Christmas message delivered by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, Rector and Secretary, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur, emphasized peace, compassion, and commitment to humanity. The programme was further honoured by the Guest of Honour addresses. While Rev. Dr. Maria Antonyraj, Principal of Sacred Heart College, inspired the gathering by highlighting education as a powerful means of social transformation and empowerment and Rev. Dr. Theophil Anand SDB, Additional Principal, encouraged the students to pursue education with discipline and confidence. Rev.Fr. John Borg, Controller of Examinations gave felicitation address. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Swetha from Idhaya Nagar, expressing sincere gratitude to the management, guests, organizers, volunteers, and participants. The celebration concluded with the distribution of Christmas gifts, during which each student received three gifts—a T-shirt, a stainless-steel vessel, and an educational kit consisting of a box, pencil, pen, rubber, and sharpener. The programme ended on a joyful note, reflecting the true spirit of Christmas through sharing, care, and togetherness.
