Christmas and Community Day Celebrations 2025 of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, Shift–II, were celebrated with great joy, reverence, and enthusiasm on 23rd December 2025 at Kamarajar Arangam, commencing at 1.25 p.m. The programme began with a solemn Prayer Service and melodious Christmas carols, which created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere and reminded the gathering of the true essence of Christmas—peace, love, and goodwill. The celebration was formally inaugurated with a warm welcome and Christmas and Community Day message delivered by Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand SDB, Additional Principal, SHC, Tirupattur.
The highlight of the programme was the inspiring Christmas and Community Day message delivered by Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antonyraj SDB, Principal, SHC, Tirupattur, who encouraged the students to imbibe the values of compassion, service, and unity in their academic and personal lives. Salesian Community Programme was presented, Dace which reflected family spirit. A special video presentation on the Rector offered a reflective insight into leadership and service. The cultural segment of the programme featured vibrant dance performances by the Department of Computer Science, which showcased the talents and creativity of the students.
Felicitation addresses on behalf of the students and the teaching fraternity were delivered by Ms. Revathi R, III Year B.Com (CA), and Dr. G. Devi, Head (UG), Department of Commerce, respectively, expressing gratitude and appreciation for the constant support and guidance provided by the Rector of the community. A thought-provoking skit presented by the MNI students conveyed a strong social message, while the joyful appearance of Santa Claus by the YSR Team brought cheer and festive spirit to the gathering. The Honouring of the Office Bearers was graciously carried out by Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand SDB, recognizing their contributions to the growth of the institution.
The celebration was further enriched by the Christmas and Community Day message delivered by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, Rector and Secretary, SHC, Tirupattur,. Another elegant dance performance by Dr. Maria Liny Jenifer and team from the Department of English added charm to the cultural celebrations. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. S. Sowmini, Department of Computer Science, acknowledging all dignitaries, organizers, participants, and students for their support and cooperation. The celebration came to a dignified close with the singing of the College Anthem,. The entire programme was meticulously coordinated by Rev. Dr. Shanmugam, Vice-Principal (Administration), Shift–II, whose effective leadership ensured the smooth, disciplined, and meaningful conduct of the Christmas and Community Day Celebrations.
