The grandeur of the 77^th Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotism and dignity at Sacred Heart College, on 26^th  January 2026. The programme was organised by the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The event brought together the management, faculty members, NCC cadets, and students in a spirit of unity and national pride.

The celebration commenced at 8.30 a.m. with a warm welcome to the gathering, setting a solemn and patriotic tone for the occasion. The Chief Guest, Dr. K. Antony Baskaran, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce (Shift–I), hoisted the National Flag. 

Following the flag hoisting, the NCC cadets presented an impressive contingent drill, demonstrating discipline, coordination, and commitment to the ideals of the nation

The Republic Day message was delivered by Dr. T. Jeyabalan, Associate Professor, Dean and Head, Department of Chemistry (Shift–I). In his address, he highlighted the importance of constitutional ideals, national unity, and collective responsibility in strengthening the fabric of the nation.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty members, NCC officers, cadets, and students for their wholehearted participation. The celebration came to an end on a patriotic note, reaffirming the commitment of the Sacred Heart College community to the values and ideals of the Indian Republic.
