The All-India Catholic University Federation (AICUF), Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, in collaboration with the Department of Social Work (MSW), successfully organized an eco-awareness programme titled “Grow Green, Go Green (G4)” on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, at 2.00 p.m. in the MSW Block.

The programme was conducted with the objective of promoting environmental consciousness among students and encouraging sustainable practices through tree planting and green initiatives. The event highlighted the urgent need for environmental protection and the role of youth in combating ecological degradation.

The session was facilitated by Dr. Arockiaraj, Department of Social Work, who emphasized the importance of green living, ecological responsibility, and community participation in environmental conservation. The students actively participated in the initiatives to support environmental sustainability. Both boys and girls were involved in cleaning and planting seeds and watering the plants. 

The programme was effectively coordinated by Dr. F. Julian Xercies Rigley, Dr. D. Ajay, and Dr. F. Silviya from AICUF, whose collective efforts ensured the smooth organization and meaningful execution of the event. Students from the MSW Department and AICUF actively participated with enthusiasm and commitment.

The “Grow Green, Go Green (G4)” programme served as a platform to sensitize students to environmental issues and reinforced the institution’s commitment to fostering social responsibility and ecological awareness.
