Department of Extension Education and Service, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote the socio-economic development of the Gypsy community, organized a loan distribution programme to support livelihood and self-employment activities. On 23rd December 2025, a total loan amount of ₹2,50,000 was disbursed to members of the Gypsy community. During this distribution, four beneficiaries received financial assistance, of which three beneficiaries were provided ₹50,000 each and one beneficiary received ₹1,00,000, based on their livelihood requirements. The financial support was aimed at strengthening income-generating activities and improving the overall economic stability of the beneficiaries.
Further continuing this initiative, another phase of loan distribution was conducted on 27th January 2026, during which a total amount of ₹2,50,000 was distributed among five beneficiaries from the Gypsy community. Each beneficiary received ₹50,000 to support their self-employment and livelihood ventures. Overall, through these two phases of loan distribution, a total of ₹5,00,000 was provided to nine beneficiaries, contributing significantly to the empowerment and financial inclusion of the Gypsy community.
