Retirement Function of Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antonyraj SDB was ceremoniously organized by Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, Shift–II, on Tuesday, 27th January 2026 at Kamarajar Arangam. The programme began at 3.45 p.m. and was attended by the faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students of the institution. The event was arranged to honour and express gratitude for the invaluable and selfless service rendered by Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antonyraj SDB during his tenure as the Principal of Sacred Heart College. The programme opened with a prayer song by the Shift–II Choir, creating a serene and reverent atmosphere. Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand SDB, Additional Principal of the college, delivered the welcome and felicitation address, warmly acknowledging and recalling the dedicated leadership of the retiree.

Felicitation addresses were delivered by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, Rector and Secretary of the college, along with faculty representatives, who highlighted Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antonyraj’s visionary guidance, administrative excellence, and commitment to holistic education. A special video presentation portrayed the milestones of his academic journey and memorable moments of his service by Mr. G. Rajkumar, Assitant Professor from Department of Commerce. Cultural performances by the girl students from Department of Commerce and Tamil added colour and joy to the occasion. Felicitations on behalf of the staff and students were presented, reflecting deep respect and affection for the retiring Principal.

Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antonyraj SDB delivered an emotional and inspiring response, sharing his experiences and expressing heartfelt gratitude to the management, colleagues, and students. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Saravana Kumaran, followed by the College Anthem. The entire event was coordinated by Rev.Dr. Shanmugam SDB, the Vice-Principal (Admin)
