Event Details

The PG & Research Department of English (Shift – II), Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, organized a creative language-based event Word Craft on 27 January 2026 at 11.00 a.m. in Mahatma Gandhi Hall. The event was organized with the objective of fostering creativity enhancing vocabulary skills, and encouraging linguistic innovation among students. It aimed to provide a platform for learners to explore language beyond conventional classroom practices through engaging and creative activities. The programme commenced with a prayer led by Mr. U. Kamesh, Assistant Professor of English (Shift – II). The prayer set a positive and reflective tone for the event, invoking focus and enthusiasm among the participants. The event was convened by Dr. J. Mary Jenif, Head of the Department of English (Shift – II). Mr. U. Kamesh, Assistant Professor of English (Shift – II), who served as the Organizing Secretary. Totally 33 Students actively participated in Word Craft, showcasing their creativity, imagination, and command over the English language. The event proved to be both educational and enjoyable, promoting collaborative learning and creative expression.
