Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, celebrated its 75^th College Day with great splendour and academic pride on 7^th February, 2026 at Kamarajar Arangam. The Platinum Jubilee milestone brought together the Salesian Management, distinguished dignitaries, faculty, students, parents, and alumni in a collective celebration of the institution’s enduring legacy.

          The programme commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu followed by an invocation by the College Choir.

          Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, SDB, Rector and Secretary, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the significance of the Jubilee and introducing the dignitaries.

         The Annual Report was presented by Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, SDB, Principal, outlining academic achievements, research initiatives, extension activities, and student development programmes.

       Delivering the College Day Address, Dr. J. Senthil Velmurugan, Registrar, Thiruvalluvar University, Serkkadu, Vellore, emphasized institutional quality, commitment, and professional competence. He urged students and staff to uphold dedication, innovation, and responsibility, noting that the strength of an institution lies in its human resources.

          Mr. R. B. Selvakumar, Executive Vice President & Head – HR, Tube Investments of India Ltd, in his Presidential Address, he recalled his student days and praised the college for shaping ethical leaders and responsible citizens. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he inspired the graduates with the words, “Arise, Awake, And Stop Not Till the Goal Is Reached,” urging them to pursue excellence with perseverance, integrity, and humility.

             Meritorious students and staff were honoured during the prize distribution ceremony, followed by vibrant cultural performances. The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Rev. Dr. D. Shanmugam, SDB, Vice Principal, marking the successful culmination of the historic event.
