Event Details

All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF), Youth for Social Responsibility (YSR), and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) of Shift – II, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur organized a Blood Donation Camp on 24 February 2026 (Tuesday) at 9.00 A.m. in Oasis Hall. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Government Community Health Centre, Andiyappanur.

The programme commenced with a prayer song and welcome address rendered by Amal Raj from II B.A. English Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand SDB, Additional Principal of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous) delivered the Felicitation Address. In his address, he emphasized the significance of voluntary blood donation as an act of humanity and social responsibility. Rev. Dr. Shanmugam SDB, Vice Principal – Admin of Shift–II & Convener of the Blood Donation Camp honored the Medical Professionals Team with a shawl.

The camp was organized under the guidance of the respected patrons: Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB (Rector & Secretary), Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj SDB (Principal), Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand SDB (Additional Principal), Rev. Dr. Samson Shanmugam SDB (Vice Principal – Admin & Convener, Shift–II), Dr. P. Soundariya (Block Medical Officer, Government Primary Health Centre, Andiyappanur), Dr. Kumaravel (Blood Bank Officer, Government Hospital, Tirupattur), and Mrs. C. S. Kalpana (Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre, Government Primary Health Centre, Andiyappanur).

The Master of the Ceremony was Ashwini from II B.A. English, who conducted the programme with clarity and coordination, ensuring the smooth flow of events. Medical professionals from the Government Community Health Centre carefully screened the donors and ensured that all safety protocols were followed. Totally 51 of students enthusiastically donated blood in the camp, demonstrating their commitment to social welfare.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Divya from II B.Sc. Chemistry. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to the management, medical team, faculty members, student volunteers, and donors for their wholehearted cooperation and contribution to the success of the camp. The Blood Donation Camp was a meaningful and impactful event that reflected the institution’s dedication to social responsibility and humanitarian service.
