Department of Extension Education and Services (DEEDS) of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), in collaboration with Don Bosco Social Action Research Centre (DBSARC), Tiruvannamalai, organized a scholarship distribution programme for Gypsy students on 13th March 2026 at the DEEDS – DB Centre. During the programme, a total amount of Rs. 1,15,000 was distributed to 16 Gypsy students to support their educational needs. The scholarship beneficiaries included 8 college students and 8 school students from economically marginalized gypsy communities.

The scholarships were distributed by Rev. Fr. Selvaraj, Administrator, and Rev. Dr. Shanmugam, Director of DEEDS. They motivated the students to focus on their studies and make good use of the opportunity provided through the scholarship support. The beneficiaries and their families expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the timely financial support that would help them continue their studies with greater confidence and hope.
