Department of Extension Education and Services (DEEDS), Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, in collaboration with NAB Foundation and funded by NABFINS, organized the programme titled "Strengthening Education Facilities – Enhancing Learning Outcomes through Digital Interactive Boards in Government Schools" on 11 June 2026 at Government Higher Secondary Schools, Kethandapatti and Kasinayakanpatti. The initiative aimed at strengthening educational infrastructure through the provision of modern digital learning facilities to government school students. The programme at both schools commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the participation of the school students. The gathering was formally welcomed by Dr. M. Senthil Kumar, Headmaster, GHSS, Kethandapatti, and Mr. S. Kulandaisamy, Headmaster, GHSS, Kasinayakanpatti, who expressed their gratitude to NAB Foundation, NABFINS and Sacred Heart College for extending technological support to rural schools.
The dignitaries were honoured in recognition of their valuable presence and support. The felicitation addresses were delivered by Rev. Dr. Shanmugam SDB, Director – DEEDS and Vice Principal (Administration), Sacred Heart College, Rev. Fr. Ignatious Stanley Lawrence SDB, Rector and Secretary, Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, Principal, and Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand SDB, Additional Principal, who highlighted the importance of integrating digital technologies into the teaching-learning process and emphasized the commitment of the institution towards educational empowerment through community outreach initiatives. The Chief Guest Address was delivered by Mr. Sripadharajan R., AGM/DDM, NABARD, who appreciated the collaborative efforts of NABFINS, NAB Foundation and Sacred Heart College in improving access to quality education through technological interventions. He encouraged the students and teachers to utilize the interactive boards effectively for enhancing academic achievement and digital literacy.
The Guest of Honour Speeches were delivered by Mr. Sathish, Regional Manager, NABFINS, and Mr. Gurupatham, Branch Manager, Vellore. They stressed the transformative role of technology in contemporary education and encouraged teachers to adopt innovative pedagogical practices using digital interactive boards. The highlight of the programme was the distribution and inauguration of the Interactive Digital Boards by the dignitaries to the respective schools. The installation of these boards marked a significant step towards creating smart classroom environments and enhancing student engagement through interactive learning experiences. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks, proposed by Mr. M. Parthiban, Assistant Headmaster, GHSS, Kethandapatti, and Mr. A. Mullai Pari, who expressed sincere appreciation to NAB Foundation, NABFINS, Sacred Heart College management and in a special way Rev.Dr. Shanmugam, the invited dignitaries, teachers, students and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme. The event came to an end with the National Anthem.
