Sacred Heart College
PG Inauguration of the Academic Year 2026–2027 for the postgraduate students of Shift-II, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, was held on 1st July 2026 at 1.45 p.m. in Pope Francis Hall. The inaugural programme marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the first-year postgraduate students and served as an occasion to welcome them into the Sacred Heart family. The programme commenced with a Prayer Service, led by Rev. Dr. Bharathi Bernadsha SDB, Director-CIBI and Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, along with Dr. Henston, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Through meaningful prayers and scriptural reflections, they invoked God's blessings upon the new academic year, seeking divine guidance for the students, faculty members, and the institution.
Following the prayer service, Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand SDB, Additional Principal, welcomed the gathering with great warmth. He extended a cordial welcome to the newly admitted postgraduate students. During his address, he introduced the office bearers of Shift-II and delivered the Academic Year Message, encouraging the students to embrace the opportunities available in the institution with dedication, discipline, and enthusiasm. The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Ignatius Stanley Lawrence SDB, Rector and Secretary of Sacred Heart College, delivered the inaugural address. He warmly welcomed the postgraduate students into the Sacred Heart community and encouraged them to make the best use of the academic and personal growth opportunities available on campus.
The Rules and Regulations of the college were explained by Mr. D. Rajkumar, Dean of Students, and Dr. Mary Jenif, Dean for Women Affairs. They familiarized the students with the institutional code of conduct. They urged the students to uphold the values and standards of the institution throughout their academic journey. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Rev. Dr.Shanmugam SDB, Vice Principal (Administration), Shift-II. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Rector and Secretary, the Additional Principal, the faculty members, students, and all those who contributed to the successful organization of the inaugural programme. He also conveyed his best wishes to the newly admitted postgraduate students for a fruitful and enriching academic year. The programme came to a close with the College Anthem.
