Sacred Heart College
The Inauguration of the Associations and Investiture of the office bearers for the academic year 2026–2027 (Shift I) was held on 13 July 2026 at 10.45 a.m. in Kamarajar Arangam, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur.
The programme commenced with a solemn procession, followed by the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. A Prayer Service and the Investiture of the office bearers were conducted by Rev. Dr. S. Xavier Raj, SDB, Campus Minister, who administered the oath and blessed the newly elected student office bearers, encouraging them to uphold the values of leadership, responsibility, and service.
The gathering was formally welcomed by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, SDB, Principal, who also felicitated and honoured the distinguished Chief Guest. In his welcome address, he emphasized the significance of student associations in nurturing leadership qualities, teamwork, creativity, and social commitment among students.
The Activities for the Academic Year 2026–2027 were presented by Rev. Fr. S. Henry Daniel Ambrose, SDB, Vice Principal (Administration). He outlined the various academic, cultural, extension, and co-curricular activities planned for the year, encouraging students to participate actively in the programmes organized by different associations.
The Chief Guest, Dr. S. Vijay Anand, Associate Professor and NSS Coordinator, Department of Biotechnology, Thiruvalluvar University, Serkadu, Vellore, delivered an inspiring address. He spoke about the importance of leadership, discipline, social responsibility, innovation, and community engagement. He encouraged the newly elected office bearers to become role models and work collectively for the welfare of the student community.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. D. Ajay, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, who expressed gratitude to the management, the Principal, the Campus Minister, the Vice Principal, the Chief Guest, faculty members, students, organizers, and all those who contributed to the success of the event.
