The Eco Club of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur organized an invited talk on 'Environmental Protection and Eco Club' to create environmental awareness among students. The session aimed to motivate students to protect natural resources, reduce pollution, and actively participate in eco-friendly activities.
Mrs. M. Thenmozhi explained the importance of environmental protection, climate change, waste segregation, reducing plastic use, tree plantation, biodiversity conservation, water conservation, composting, and the role of Eco Clubs in educational institutions. She encouraged students to adopt sustainable lifestyles and become ambassadors for environmental conservation. The presentation included the objectives of the Eco Club and practical steps that students can implement on campus and at home.
Students from various departments actively participated, listened attentively, interacted with the resource person, and clarified their doubts. The programme inspired students to take responsibility for protecting the environment.
The invited talk was informative, inspiring, and highly beneficial. It strengthened environmental awareness among students and motivated everyone to contribute towards a greener and healthier future.
