The PG & Research Department of Chemistry at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, successfully conducted a session under its Monthly Student Seminar Series on July 22, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mahatma Gandhi Hall. The event focused on the topic "The Architecture of the Cosmos: From Primordial Fluctuations to Multidimensional Horizons," highlighting a student-centric approach to exploring complex scientific and cosmological concepts beyond the core curriculum.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer led by Elavarasan (II M.Sc. Chemistry), invoking divine blessings for the gathering. Following the prayer, Mrs. V.M. Divya, Assistant Professor, delivered the introduction to set the context for the seminar. Dr. C. Jayakumar, Head of the PG Department, then delivered the welcome address, extending a warm greeting to the faculty members and students in attendance. Words of felicitation were offered by Dr. Diana Sangeetha, Head of the UG Department, who commended the department’s initiative in offering students a formal platform to develop and demonstrate their research presentation skills.
The highlight of the event was the keynote address presented by Mr. Harish C, a final-year M.Sc. Chemistry student (Shift - II). Mr. Harish delivered an engaging talk on cosmic evolution, guiding the audience through the transitions from primordial quantum fluctuations to modern theoretical ideas involving multidimensional horizons. The session fostered keen interest and lively discussion among the attending faculty, research scholars, and students. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. V.M. Divya, who expressed gratitude to the college management, department leadership, organizers, and participants for contributing to the success of the event.
