The National Service Scheme (NSS), Unit–IV, Shift–I of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, organized a workshop on “Registration in My Bharath Portal” on 17 August 2026 at 11.00 a.m. at Oasis Hall. The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about the My Bharat Portal and encouraging them to register and actively participate in opportunities and activities connected with youth engagement, volunteering, service, and nation-building.
The programme commenced with a prayer service, invoking God's blessings for the successful conduct of the workshop. Following the prayer, Mrs. V. M. Divya, Assistant Professor and NSS Vice President (Shift II), delivered the welcome address. She warmly welcomed the dignitaries, NSS volunteers, faculty members, and students and highlighted the significance of the workshop.
The chief guest and resource person for the programme was Dr. A. Arokia Neapolean Raj, Assistant Professor and NSS Programme Officer (Shift I), Department of Chemistry, Sacred Heart College. He addressed the participants on the importance of registering with the My Bharat
Portal and encouraged students to make meaningful use of the opportunities available through such youth-oriented initiatives. The workshop provided a platform for students to understand the relevance of digital registration. It was particularly relevant to NSS volunteers because it connected the ideals of the National Service Scheme with broader opportunities for youth participation. By bringing students together for a focused registration-oriented programme, the NSS unit created an opportunity to encourage wider participation in youth-centric activities.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. B. Chandrasekar, Assistant Professor and NSS Programme Officer (Shift II). He expressed sincere gratitude to the management and patrons of the institution, the chief guest, faculty members, NSS coordinators, volunteers, and students for their support and active participation.
