Sacred Heart College
Department of Extension Education and Services (DEEDS), Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, observed Ayudha Pooja on 21 October 2026 at 11.40 a.m. with devotion and enthusiasm. The celebration was organised to mark the auspicious occasion and to promote gratitude, unity, and fellowship among the staff members and students associated with the department.The programme commenced with a welcome address by Rev. Dr. Shanmugam, Director, Department of Extension Education and Services (DEEDS), who warmly welcomed the gathering and highlighted the significance of celebrating Ayudha Pooja.
The celebration was blessed by Rev. Fr. Stanley Ignatious Lawrence, Rector and Secretary, who offered his blessings for the well-being of the staff members, students, and the continued growth and successful functioning of the department. As part of the celebration, Pori, kadalai, mixture, fruits and sweets were distributed to all staff members. In addition, pori, kadalai, and mixture were distributed to the students enrolled in the Tailoring and Aari Work training programmes conducted by the department. This initiative enabled the department to share the joy of the festival with the students. At the conclusion of the programme, a group photograph was taken along with the staff members to commemorate the occasion.
