Life Enhancement Programme for Non-Catholic Faculty, titled “A Journey of Reflection and Renewal,” was conducted on 22 and 23 October 2026 at BISS Block, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur. The two-day programme aimed to promote self-awareness, emotional well-being, psychological understanding, personal development, and healthy interpersonal relationships among faculty members.

Day 1 – 22 October 2026

Theme: Taking Care of Self

The resource person for the first day was Fr. Antonysamy, OFM Cap., Anugraha, Dindigul. The programme began with prayer, followed by the welcome address and introduction of the resource person by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, Principal, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur. The first day's sessions focused on the basic concepts of psychology and the importance of understanding oneself. Participants were introduced to fundamental psychological concepts, including the Id, Ego, and Superego, which helped them understand the different dimensions of human personality and behaviour.

The sessions also covered various types of emotions and feelings, highlighting their influence on human thoughts, actions, and relationships. Psychological concepts were explained through short films and video clips, followed by the analysis of selected scenes. Participants actively engaged in questions, discussions, and reflections to gain a deeper understanding of human behaviour and emotional responses. Psychology-based activities were conducted to enhance self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal relationships. These activities encouraged faculty members to recognise their emotions, understand their responses, and develop a balanced approach to their personal and professional lives. The first day's programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Mohan Gandhi.

The programme also included Brain Gym activities designed to encourage active participation and mental engagement. Topics such as physiognomy, Conversation Theory, and the 3:3:3 Sleep Theory were introduced as part of the sessions. In addition, the concepts of the Divinity Sphere, Power Sphere, and Personal Sphere were discussed to encourage reflection on different dimensions of human life and relationships. Interactive sessions and psychology-based activities provided opportunities for participants to exchange ideas, share experiences, and reflect on the importance of effective communication, mutual understanding, and harmonious relationships with colleagues, students, and family members. The second day's programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Jayachithra.

The programme concluded with an engaging and creative group activity. The participants were divided into five teams of male faculty members and five teams of female faculty members. Newspapers were distributed to each team, and the members were asked to creatively design a king and queen using the newspapers provided. The selected participants then presented their creations by walking like a king and queen in a fashion-walk activity. The activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, confidence, coordination, and joyful participation. Gifts were presented to the participants in recognition of their involvement in the activity. The programme was successfully coordinated by Rev. Dr. Shanmugam SDB, Vice-Principal(Admin) who served as the Master of Ceremonies on both days.
