The National Service Scheme (NSS), Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, organized an NSS Day Celebration – Drawing Competition on 24 September 2026 (Thursday) at 11.00 a.m. at Oasis Hall. The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. B. Chandrasekar and Prof. V. M. Divya, who served as the organizing secretaries. The event was conducted with the support and patronage of Rev. Fr. Ignatius Lawrence SDB, Rector and Secretary, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur; Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, Principal; Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anandan SDB, Additional Principal; and Rev. Dr. D. Shanmugam SDB, Vice Principal (Admin).
The drawing competition was designed to connect art, social awareness, and the spirit of service represented by the National Service Scheme. The central message of the programme, “Let your creativity bring a brighter tomorrow,” encouraged students to use their artistic abilities to communicate ideas related to a better society and a sustainable future. Through the theme “NSS • Service • Change,” the programme emphasized the relationship between individual creativity and collective social responsibility.
The competition provided students with a creative platform to present their thoughts and perspectives through drawings. Participants were encouraged to transform their ideas into meaningful visual expressions and to communicate messages that could inspire awareness and positive social change. The event carried the larger message that awareness can be created not only through speeches and discussions but also through art and visual communication. The NSS Day celebration thus provided students with an opportunity to reflect on their responsibilities towards society and to communicate constructive ideas through their creative work. The activity also reinforced the values of service and change associated with NSS while encouraging students to become active contributors to a better future.
