The 69th College Day Celebrations of Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), were held on 1st February, 2020, in the college ground, at 5:00 P.M. Rev. Fr. Dr.  C. Antony Raj, the Rector of the college welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. K. Ravi, Senior General Manager – PE, TVS Motor Company Ltd., Hosur. The Chief Guest, the Rector and Rev. Fr. Principal distributed mementos to the Additional Principal, Vice-Principals, Administrator, Deans, Heads and members of the IQAC for holding various positions of high stature towards the growth and development of the college. Students were honoured for their excellence in their studies and extra-curricular activities. Scholarships and medals were also awarded to meritorious students.

Mr. N. Shamuddin, a student from the Department of Computer Applications was specially appreciated by the Chief Guest and the College Management for creating a World Record for sketching the smallest drawing of the Seven Wonders of the World at the size of 0.5 mm.  This world record was awarded to him by the Universal Achievers Book of Records and Future Kalam Book of Records, Chennai.

Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, the Principal of the college read the report of the year 2019-20, followed by an audio-visual presentation. Mr. K. Ravi, Senior General Manager – PE, TVS Motor Company Ltd, Hosur felicitated the gathering. He appreciated & congratulated the faculty and students on their commendable achievements. In his talk, he recalled a Thirukkural சொல்லுதல் யார்க்கும் எளிய அரியவாம் சொல்லிய வண்ணம் செயல்”. He appreciated the college for their humanity in rendering an unstinted service to the rural poor for the past seven decades. He narrated to the students his transformation from a humble beginning to a gold medalist and now a general manager working with top German Scientists.  Mr. K. Ravi, asked the students whether they knew who they were. He said that this was one of the most difficult questions to answer. If one knew the answer to the question he/she would know his/her purpose in life. He stated that one could know oneself only by self-awareness and through others. He also highlighted the ABCD of life, i.e. ‘Having a right Attitude with a Break-through Mindset along with Commitment and Determination’. He exhorted the students to do what they feel is right and that experiments are the key to success. He encouraged collaborative learning. In his concluding remarks he urged students to do a self-examination in identifying the root cause of each problem and to solve them by applying the ABCD in their life to discover and conquer the challenges of everyday life.

Shift-II), Rev. Dr. Gandhi Kallarasan, Administrator, Rev. Fr. S. Henry Daniel Ambrose, Director, Extension Education & Services, Rev. Fr. Selvaraj Varaprasadam, Asst. Prof., Dept. of  Counselling Psychology, Rev. Fr. Isidore Mani Lazar, Campus Minister and various Deans, Heads of the Departments, faculty and students graced the occasion. The college choir was orchestrated by Rev. Dr. G. Theophil Anand and the vote of thanks was rendered by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, Vice Principal - Shift-I/Controller of Examinations.
